Toxic waste, lightning, radiation, all quite awesome. You wanna get as much of these things in you as possible.
If someone were struck by lightning while drinking toxic waste and being irradiated they’d become too powerful to be a hero. They’d have to be a villain, because after all, when your schtick is that you must consume civilizations for sustenance there’s not a whole lot there for you in the vigilantism industry.
Toxic waste, lightning, and radiation… what if I fall in toxic waste and get struck by radiated lightning? Could I be a hero then? And shortly afterwords of becoming a hero destroy about 12 to 19 city’s?
Actually, something similar to the first/ third comment happened to one of the toughest villains in the game Champions (pen&paper RPG, also an MMORPG now) – Grond (the equivalent to the Hulk there). 98-pound-loser drinks super-serum, gets doused by chemicals/ toxic waste, falls into a nuclear reactor and escapes to the outside just to be struck by lightning. And a short time later a four-armed, super-strong mutated monstrosity rampages all over ;)

Oh the all mighty toxic waste. Can any of us not find it COMPLETELY logical that these things work? :D

Or villain. Or a one panel throwaway joke. You never know.
Makes sense to me. Kung Fury learned his magical kung fu skills by being hit by lightning at the same time as he was bit by a snake.

I don’t think they quite understand the meaning of the word “toxic”
At first I read hundreds of mosquitos were registering as superheroes. Not sure if that would be better or worse.
