Alex you’re not doing a good job arguing your case, also try and inform the cops about your findings, it might help grease the wheels when dealing with authorities. Either way, you’re in for a long wait while these things gets processed through the bureaucracy.
The Warden isn’t aware of any serial kidnapping cases going on? Why not? Isn’t he the first person the Shitropolis police codmmissioner calls whenever they’ve got a new case?
Oh, wait. He’s just the warden of a maximum security prison. All he needs to know is when the police are gonna send him a new inmate.
Except for privileged communications (like with an attorney) prisoners’ mail has no privacy and can be read or censored by the authorities. The heroes and the warden would both know this.
Still saying he’s the villain.
Eh. A villian, he’s probably uses the tech based villians to make a fortune.
Probably can use the spiffy crime fighting computer back at the Losrh Dugout to hack the records from the prison. That, or look it up on Facebook.
Twitter and Instagram are just as likely as FB in this case I think.

Definitely should inform the police about this.
After all, what’s the point of becoming a vigilante if you have to worry about rules and ethics?
this is why batman doesn’t get permission and just go through your paperwork while you’ve got your back turned XD
Still, if that guy’s on the level, he should at least do something now he knows there’s a serial kidnapper on the loose…. right?
Like saying “Let me put it this way: *I* can’t give you our records. Which are on that computer over there. And it’s time for my coffee break.”

Random vigilantes aren’t “the authorities” by any stretch of the imagination
