Technically her saying it’s suspicious could be inferred to be accusatory, since if you say something’s suspicious you’re questioning its trustworthiness and reliability. You’re saying you feel something’s wrong about about it.
So the lesson here is that just because you’re a good guy with good intentions doesn’t mean it’s okay to accuse people of being bad guys just because they seem shady. But, sometimes, people seem shady because they really are shady and are probably actual villains.
Really, if she’d been more calm and collected about the whole thing she might have been able to figure some stuff out without tipping him off and wouldn’t have came across as a presumptive asshole in the process. That being said, it appears that Alex really isn’t a very good detective and possesses a level of common sense and general observation that makes her fit in quite well with the LoSRHs.
