Also, I know it was a while ago, but he did see from those multiversal shenanigans that his excuses for being useless didn’t really add up to much after all. That must have been weighing on him at least a little (plus the time he wiped out an alien armada… twice). Basically, he’s starting to see he doesn’t have to be a looser after all. It would actually a pretty good arc for closing out this comic.
Theory, If the Censor “Deletes” LP, a different more competent one appears just like how in the DC universe there is ALWAYS a green lantern on earth, even if time gets messed with and it makes it a different one. (I think it was an episode of Justice league where that actually happened. Time kept getting messed with and the one constant in the group was there was ALWAYS a green lantern, but which green lantern kept changing.)
So, if he does try to get rid of LP, he just makes it worse for himself and has to bring the original LP back.
He also can unleash his power a bit here because they told him a few strips back that he didn’t have to worry about hurting innocent people in this dimension. :D
I’m beginning to think that somebody hasn’t had his weekly “abducted by UFOs, experimented on, temporarily lost 50 points of IQ” session. The fact that LP is SWIFTLY becoming more competent (and snarky) brings those abductions into a sharper, more sinister, focus.
That’s an interesting idea there. We know in every other universe his counterparts are the ultimate heroes so why is he different? Is it really just the law of averages or is some sinister force working to keep at least one of him incompetent for diabolical reasons?
Very sensible, LP. Quite logical. That’s using your brain ….
Wait a second …
Oh Noes!! LP’s been replaced by an Evil Clone!!
Why is LP the only reasonable one this arc? Is it the narradium? Is something else going on?
He’s been doing that for a while, now
He’s finally running out of fucks
He’s finally getting fed up with being dragged around into dangerous situations where nobody ever tells him what’s going on

Plus, he’s been dating one of the hottest superheroines in the world for a while now – maybe he’s just beginning to realize that?

Ooh, maybe you’re thinking of this episode, where John Stewart and Hal Jordan flip back and forth? I really enjoyed that story arc :D

if think LP is slowly coming to term with just how overpowered his optic blast are

LP making sense,
this narradium powered baddie can really do anything
I get that LP did the right thing… But are you REALLY sure he did it at the RIGHT wall?
Good on LP; it’s not healthy to keep it in for too long.
After all, he already has enough problems with power incontinence.

Who is this guy in the pony suit and what have you done with the real LP?

Laser Pony is and has always been my hero.
