sometime, i think Lp may just pretend to be blind but after a few remind of all the dumb thing it done, it come to that not be possible. this guy is just a moron heroe not a clever mastermind.
Carbones: Laser Pony is both dumb and blind. Sarcasmo has pointed out it is being dumb that holds him back.
Max: LP and Cat-a-Pult are friends and have hung out a couple times before. That’s part of the reason he chose LP’s home. I mean, a kid’s playground is even less obvious.
This actually makes sense in a comic book world, start with the last place you are expected to look.
The plastic apron & the rest of his gear is standard dress for a chemical scientist when he’s experimenting (the lightning coming out of his head is a dead give-away).
How did he know it was Cat-a-Pult? o:
Because they’re friends.

Surely a guy who spends as much time UNDERNEATH cats as Cat-a-pult would have a characteristic, um, odor.
he obiously recognize the voice be smarter people
That plastic apron has unpleasant implications.
At least LP can say he hasn’t Seen Cat-a-Pult. :)

“So have you seen them around?”
“…I have not seen them around.”

The hero in the last panel is Electrode, first seen in Cat-a-pult’s origin here:

I’d have bought the Mortar Kitty from the heist with me as a distraction.
Does Lazer Pony even KNOW that Cat-A-Pult is working for the Savant?
@Shia leBeuff: Glad you brought that up. I was thinking he was an all-new (to us, at least) hero, who we’d have had to guess the name of*.
(*Based on his smithy’s apron and obvious lightning control, my guess would’ve been Electrosmith.)
This hero is dangerously genre savvy.
Hanging out with one group of superheroes seems an interesting way to avoid another group of heroes.
He must be a super genius hero.
