154- Progress
You should consider yourselves lucky you got this strip.
If not for a late night breakthroug it would have been an extremely forced joke about Wolverine as a gardener.

The mad doctor looks a good deal like a certain Dr. Herville Albert Schtein, of String Theory! Sans robot eyes, of course.
The dreeeeeeeeaaaaaam!
I’d buy one…
Wolverine as a gardener would be somewhat like Edward Scissorhands as a gardener.
It would be beautiful.
Ugh, could have used this last week when my a/c was on the fritz.
I would so buy the fuck out of this raygun.
It could also be used for efficient cooling on hot summer days.
Think of the applications!
This, is fuckin’ ‘cool’ and useful.
Mad scientist as hero? I like it!
A low powered version of a super villain weapon? He’s quite mad indeed!
I… I would pay *so much* money for that. Not even kidding. Nothing frustrates like a warm pillow on a hot night when you’re trying to sleep.
Shutup and take my money
Never thought so many people could feel frustrated about warming pillows. Personally I do not care but has anyone tried with incorporated cooling circuits (like an electric blanket but in reverse) or with a simple hermetic ice bag inside the pillow? I mean, really…
I think you should post your idea for the wolverine comic. I’d like to see that.
I like that this horrible doctor has a hammer on his shelf.
With my FREEZE RAY I will STOP… yadda yadda.
Please invent this and then sell it.
Sorry, but I like my pillows at room temperature.
*Jennibrock- Not a doctor, a scientist/tinkerer, for whom mallets are standard equipment… Dang, now I have to find MY mallet.
@Blackout
They were referring to the Dr. Horrible webseries, about a mad scientist who invents a freezeray, and his nemesis, Captain Hammer.
Thomas Logan Creed WAS a gardener; also a drunkard and a complete failure at at anything except seducing rich, bord, Victorian housewives, whose kind husband was almost certainly a closest gay, but happily raised their bastard sons as his own, a kind of defiance of his own harsh father. At least that’s my theory. By the way, Dog was Jedediah Creed, Father of Victor.
