I haven’t seen anyone make a open-faced ham and butter sandwich since I was in Germany… Is that an australian thing too? I think I remember someone saying you were australian.
@Guillermo A
Which Buckaress actually did in a previous strip.
I remember a small sandwich shop, with an awful name (the Yum Yum shop) but wonderful food. They used an old fashion sandwich press and their Ham and Cheese sandwich was so good that I don’t think I ever ordered anything else. It was a sad day when the place burned down and they decided not to re-open.
the strangest thing I’ve seen is finding out that there is someone who posts here under the username ‘DocSavage’ why’s that strange? Well it seems he/she is useing the same computer at the libary even though i never met this person and yet find his details and email here!
like the page btw, odd how someone who can cause fire by putting food togther is ‘hassle’ in this city it culd be one of the most formidable technquies that no one would see coming!
(And the bread and meat must have a lot of fat to be burning that much!)
Well, it is a superhero city with one third of the population without superpowers, the other two thirds having one. It’s not farfetched that she has powers related to pyromancy related to cooking?
@ sevez & DocSavage: It seems to be an occasional flaw in the comment system where it sometimes shows a recent user’s details.
@ korvmatron: something worth looking into? Possibly connected to why it takes ages between posting a comment and the comment becoming visible? I’m imagining 2gag uses a similar system, but there’s no delay over there.
I was visiting one of my aunts when my cousin and I noticed a burning smell coming from the kitchen. We went in there, and discovered my aunt… boiling water. That’s it, nothing else, just… water.
Not all is lost for Buckeress. Put some cheese slices on that bread & quickly slap another slice of bread on that, hopefully *before* it all bursts into flame.
Grilled cheese sandwich!
Take up French cooking & she’d be a natural for any “flambe” dish.
maybe she DOES have a superpower…
She does.
Is it weird that the oddest thing about this scene is that Buckaress is wear a shirt?
That was Buckaress? Really?
… Looks like I’m not going to ask her to make me a sandwich.
MrZeta, I would, toasted sandwiches are awesome. Hell, she don’t even need a grill for grilled cheese.
Perhaps the most mundane start to a superhero ever…
What kind of sick person makes a ham and butter sammich? I thought the halo meant Good Girl was in charge!
Guest: there’s a good chance this fiery mystery is some sort of cosmic reaction to the sheer alienness of Buckaress with a shirt.
Guest: Maybe this fiery oddness is the cosmos answer to the strangeness of Buckaress in a shirt?

She is just so hot, she instantly burns everything.
Behold the rise of “Pyrocook”, formerly known as “Buckaress”!
Ha! Good one, MaterialMage.
Khamya9 was right.
Remembers me when I burn the water trying to boil it

@ sevez
Has to be a different one. I use my home computer.
yeah, she should try to cook on the battlefield

So the bread, butter and sliced meat are fine until she puts them together and she has burnt water as well in the past.
Some kind of pyrokinetic abiliy trigged via food preparation.
She is …….
Barbie-Q?
The Burning Chef?
The Toaster?

To this day, I have no idea how she managed it.
And so… Buckaress finally found her place on the battlefield… flinging burning bread at her enemies. :)
Where did she learn to cook? Hell’s Kitchen?
