Dr. Coyote! xD, brilliant.
“Foreign delegation asked for it.” Oh my gosh. I am just picturing what that probably means.
It’s Handles in the corner
Deadly robots: Dalek, Cyberman, Wheatley, Bender… but what is a headless C3PO doing in there, wasn’t he a good guy? Or maybe I’m just getting him confused with someone deadly.
I don’t recognize at least two of the robots. I’m also missing a cylon and Maria and Tima from the Metropolis movies. (I am not missing any Terminators, nor Sentinels, nor Silicates from Above and Beyond. Too niche.)
It needs to be said: Daleks are not robots, they are time-travelling tentacle monsters from the planet Skaro who spend their life from conception to death inside an armoured space suit. Ani Vader is more robot than them, and he’s a Cyberman, like Alex J. Murphy.
@xodipox: Maybe it was C-3PO with Combat droid head from EP 2? And I think you missed the Glados Core.
@SeanL: The following Ticker part reads: “War on Easter…”
Did anybody notice that the Channel is called “V Cox”? Seems like a Wordply on “Fox” for me.
Heh, this strip reads like an episode of “Welcome to Nightvale”
Is the little white thing on the bottom left the caretaker from Halo?
The channel is probably called Cox, as a play on Fox, and the letter behind “cox” in the logo is an X.
@Maximilian @ The Black Hole . The Vault:
You’re also missing all the robots that weren’t put in there. Also, Cybermen are as much robots as Daleks, in that they’re not. They’re both cyborgs of the bionic variety, i.e. originally organic, with mechanical replacements/additions.
Is this a find the fact in the fiction quiz? Because the last panel is way too real! (except that they won’t say it in the news too often).
xodipox did not missed the “glados core” or in other words, weathley, thats his name, not glados core
oh wow I know most of the robots in the pile on panel 2….theres:bender from futerama, dalek and cybermen,c3po and wheatly
Attack of killer robots?! Clearly a job for Zapp Brannigan aided by his trusty exploitable sidekick…Laser Pony.
(for the love of atheism keep good girl, buckeress and distractella out of zap’s sight!)
It’s a local TV station: why would one expect an accurate understanding of the robot-cyborg distinction?
I bet Bender wasn’t part of the attack: he’s just there to pretend to be injured and sue the city for damages.
Exactly! Neither Darth Vader, nor RoboCop, nor Cybermen, nor Daleks are robots. Nor are PosBis. Nor is General Grievous. Nor are the drones of Dr. Max Reihnard.
Crush All Humans.
I agree with BMunro above, Bender is just there for monetary reasons. As you can see in the panel he is currently scanning for good loot in the pile in order to steal it.
Daleks and Cybermen are both cyborgs, but that doesn’t mean they don’t count as robots.
