I wish my eyes could do that. It’d be a hit at parties, at least until everyone ran away screaming.
The artwork seems subtly different in the last couple of strips….
He could have probably afforded decent eyes if his teammates/roommates weren’t stealing all of his disability money.
Are there many people in Shiitropolis with lasered away eyeballs?
Anyone else suddenly have a Gorillaz song stuck in their head?
Great now I do…
I see he decided against the prosthetics in the end, and that’s fine, his sproingy laser eyes are just fine the way they are.
Am I the only one curiously aroused by a fully-clothed Buckaress?
Oh, and nice touch with the eye chart.
Just buy sunglasses LP.
@Wizard Now I’m awfully curious about what does the chart says. I only get “COMIC WAS DRAWN BY MR DORK WHO IS A SUPER”
Well, at least LP didn’t greet Bucky with a “what’s cooking? ” or the house would be set on fire too.
Sorry for over-analyzing things, but considering he projects LASERS, he should still have his eyeballs because without the cornea there would be no lens to project. They would be useless to see and maybe a little weird-looking but would still be there.
SolCannibal, the lasers start from behind his eye, not inside. So he probably still has the ends of the optic nerve, but the eye itself is burned out.
dat gap tho
@Wizard: “Am I the only one curiously aroused by a fully-clothed Buckaress?”
Honestly I find the Afghan burka sexier but whatever rocks your boat, man.
@dragonking – that makes even less sense. the optic nerve would at best work as a circuit/command, but not lenses, for that he should still need the eyeballs.
@Scatter Prime: I too have noticed this subtle difference. Mainly with Good Girl and Buckaress, so far.
@Atristain The rest of the message seems to say “lecutelegscoolcomingxyzk”, and I can’t read the last line. :[
Guess I need glasses too, hopefully my insurance is a little better than LP :P
SolCannibal, They probably aren’t LASER lasers, but just a general beam-based weaponry. If anything it probably acts like phasers from Star Trek. They create an aisle of ion something or other, then pulse the energy down it. The greater the energy and speed of the pulse denotes how much damage is done.
LP: “How about the kind that actually sees?”
