They really were mobsters, but you know how it is–lack of evidence, suits for false arrest, suits for slander, damage awards… Yeah, I wouldn’t want to talk about it either.
Okay, either Asstronomous has been a super for longer than we thought, or he wrecked a lovely vintage car for no reason. Given who we’re talking about, I’m guessing the latter.
Chris and Dr. Hardman, look again. He is clearly using his other hand to hold the cup in the last panel.
His uniform is dark blue in the abs, so you can see the contrasting color of his hand against it, as well as notice the (vertical in that position) lines of his bracer, with the pointy shape at the end making it even easier to spot, as well as the and the typical cartoony depiction of metacarpal bones in his hand
Fun fact: The Action Comics cover they’re parodying is actually lifted from a scene from a dime novel series I can’t remember the name of. The main protagonist had super strength and had just been dumped/his girlfriend died (I forget the reason) so he went on a rampage.
It’s an honest mistake, after all, “Guys in a car” and “Mobsters” are basically the same thing

Why is his coffee cup flying there? Does he have three hands?
Pretty sure that’s just two hands – it’s only the positioning of the speech bubble, and the closeness of the shot, that make it hard to see properly.

Golden Age Asstronomus sure looked different.
Shades instead of Domino Mask, boots, external undies, not so massive butt, less prominent chin.
Nice homage to Superman. :D Also, I approve that court order 100%. I hope they made him pay for hospital bills too.
isn’t that a 1970s car?
Needs a cape!

Hah! Also noticed the homage to Superman! I bet you read JL8!
