Gonna get pedantic: caries: “The progressive destruction of bone or tooth by decay”. Syn. cavities. Derived terms: dental caries. Etymology: from Latin caries (rot, corruption), from careo (to lack).
In all my 37 years of life living in Canada, and spending a fair chunk of it watching USA-based TV and movies, I have never heard or read the term “caries” before. Ever.
I have to think that if the term really WAS widely or commonly used, it would not generate nearly this much confusion from the readership.
I don’t know why but I’m always waiting for good girl to have a crush on laser pony.
GG all ready is in love with the baby Jesus.
Aren’t we all?
@dex drako: Distracterella kissing him while disguised as her, back in #165, kind of plays and messes with that a little already, no?
Is the word “caries” in the last panel supposed to be “cavities”? That’s the Spanish word for “cavities” but it could be a coincidence.
@John M: Caries is another term for cavities or tooth decay, not only in spanish.
So it was crime all the time and not sugar. Wait for me candy store! XD
Did you accidentally use the french word for “cavities”?
No he intentionally used the English word for it, as defined by the Oxford English dictionary:
caries
noun
BrE /ˈkeəriːz/
; NAmE /ˈkeriːz/
[uncountable](medical)
decay in teeth or bones

This was also discussed above not sure why people don’t read comments before posting when there is a whopping to total of 7.
@SolCannibal I never said LP has to like her back just that GG has a crush on him.
She’s just seen him nearly naked. If that doesn’t kill her crush, it MUST be love. :P
I acually had to look up what the hell caries are. I guess that’s just a gap in my knowledge? I’ve only ever heard them called cavities.

“it MUST be love”…
Yeah, Christian brotherly love. Keep dreaming. XD
In all my life, as a British citizen, this is the second time I have ever encountered the term caries. Cavities is the commonly used term.
For YOU maybe. British-centric anyone?

Why would you want to be more like the Spank, LP? Why would anyone want to be more like the Spank?
Are LP’s tighty whities pink ? Mixing his whites and colors again.
