That’s exactly what I was thinking!
The ironic specialization of Buck’s power reminds me of a silly superhero created by the author of Ranma 1/2. It was one of her obscure short stories (which I tend to prefer, as her longer works tend to eventually wander into tedious corners), and this guy had the absurd ability to teleport from garbage to garbage ONLY. He would appear to suddenly crawl out of full rubbish bins, no matter how small, or into them, and could only go from one to another, or large piles in dumpsters, or or at communal dumps. He could go absolutely anywhere, so long as there was at least a half full container of garbage big enough to squeeze through, and take anyone with him too (who always complain of the stink). He once saved his friends when their sabotaged plane came apart by utilizing the debris technical knew status as garbage. This made me wonder if his limitation was psychological, and I have come to suspect that Buckares’s dependency on manipulating food to trigger her power is also psychological.
For a moment I thought that woman he was with was that witch rival they were drinking with. I had to backtrack to see she was still sitting with them.
uh-oh Buckaress’ bringing out the big guns now- she’s talking about cooking something! (bar burns down)
OH, SHI-!!! STOP HER!!!
That’s exactly what I was thinking!

But, then, it hits me:
You’re in a town with 2/3 heroes, villains and otherwise geeks. Somewhere, there would be themed dating sites and…
I’m loving the facial expressions here, in the second panel especially. Bucky looks just like I do when I’ve had a few too many.
I still think it’s funny that AA is in a bar.
Why not?
He is part of Buckeress’ 12 step program to becoming a real superhero. :P
Step 1 Scramble his eggs. :P
Step 2: Making him sh… defecate bri… eggs!
