Awww, twu wuv!
And hell, it looks like they’re fighting over the Lord of the Rings and the original Star Wars trilogy. Match made in heaven. Good taste all around.
If its the Original Unaltered Trilogy, that takes instant priority over any version of Lord of the Rings IMO.
And really Lord of the Rings (extend) is for falling asleep to, all that Elven music. No wonder Rivendell is called The Last Homely House East of the Sea.
The position and pose of the figure on the cover looks like the original cover/poster of A New Hope.
… in which Leia is wearing robes with both sides slit up to the top of her hips, with bare arms, bare legs, and bare feet …
I don’t remember that scene in the first movie, for some reason.
I disagree on the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but this isn’t exactly the forum in which to go into the necessary detail.
Could be worse. GeekandSundry on twitch.tv, reenacted the script George Lucas wrote first. They did voices last tuesday for it.
Everyone concluded that by the time Leia was interrogated on board the super star destroyer by Vader and his torture droid that Leia only had a strip of clothing covering her chest and a towel. She kept losing bits per George’s script.
As a side note. Neither Chewbacca or the rest of the wookies had flown a star ship before Savant flying and blowing up imperial forces in the script. Solo was an idiot. Anakin couldn’t have been vader or Leia’s father since he was the hero/jerk jedi.
That’s actually a very good point, about the torture bit. When they were torturing her, they wouldn’t have left her dignity intact, in a more real-life scenario. That’s sort of part of the deal with torture, even if it’s being administered by a droid. She shouldn’t have been pristine and sparkly, when Luke and Han broke her out of her cell.
Of course that wouldn’t have sold as well in a late-1970’s space-opera. I can see the need to sanitize things a bit. It was fine having Luke mussed up and sodden, in the Dagobah sequence, since that was more in keeping with the feel of the place. Having Leia as messed up as she should have been, in the otherwise nearly-pristine Deathstar, would have stuck out a lot more and would have been a bit more disturbing.
And yeah, I know there was a whole ton of rewriting, as even just the first trilogy went along. Wasn’t it originally supposed to be wookies in Jedi, instead of Ewoks? I recall hearing a lot of stuff about how that was the plan, but then they humanized Chewbacca a bit too much in Empire, and having a bunch of more primitive, tribal wookies didn’t fit anymore.
Ah, here we go:
Oh god, if you haven’t seen the Once Upon A Time tv show then you wouldn’t understand but that twu wuv made me think of Rumplestiltskin from the show which made it seem creepy now.
Heh, well, I asked for more Alex.
To be fair, with the movie argument in the third panel, either way you really won’t lose unless you absolutely hate one genre or the other.
At least they weren’t arguing over Star Wars vs. Star Trek. That never ends well.
As I squinted to try and read the other box title, I was presuming it would be Star Trek.
Well it depends on wether or not it was the Star Wars Prequel or…
So does this mean Bucky isn’t living with the LOSRHs at the moment?
Also, I vote Lord of the Rings.
Nah, I’m sure they’re just hanging out at each others’ places, from time to time. We’ve seen a lot of Eva around the LoSRH headquarters, too.
Yeah. We’ve also seen LP’s girlfriend hanging around LoSRH headquarters a few times as well.
Several times. That’s what I was talking about, a few pages back, when I was wondering if they would do more with Alex. She’s a much more interesting character than Mary Sue, who is a fairly two-dimensional character, by design.
Yeah, I kinda figured she hadn’t moved out, at least not completely. It would be cool though if Alex teamed up with the rest of the team, but then they might actually become less redundant.
I didn’t even really mean teaming up for crime-fighting. I just meant that she should be a more dynamic, interesting character than Mary Sue.
Alex and Eva do their thing together pretty often, I imagine. Sometimes they go out and fight crime together, too.
Sorry, that was just another thought that came up at the time. I should have posted it separately.
No worries. I wouldn’t have gotten to make my lame-ass joke, if you had done that.
Holy hand grenade phone?
(I know it’s probably supposed to be a pineapple)
Where are you seeing this? Do you mean the white thing on the shelf in panel 3? That doesn’t look like either of those things.
Do people still have landlines, except for those with small children?
They’re talking about the image on the back of Buckaress’ tablet. It’s a riff on the apple symbol and is most likely supposed to be a pineapple.
Ohhhhhhhh. I think that’s a banana. Or maybe that’s what the guy who does Zombie Roomie uses for his faux-Apple products.
“Do people still have landlines” Y-yes. Yes, they do. I’m more surprised by the assumption a lot of people seem to have that everyone has a mobile phone now.
Hmm, weird. None of the people I hang out with have landlines. Even my mother got rid of hers.
They’re really adorable together. The Star Wars vs LoTR frame has got to be the cutest dorky moment of them all.
error burnett was totally destroyed by Pam Geller, very enntgeaitinr! The CNN/ted turner received obama bucks for his energy company and are fully in da tank for more obama bucks.
“el ultimo libroq ue ha publicado” es el unico libro que ha publicado. Sobre Mark Millar. Y pusieron su foto en EL PAIS SEMANAL. La ley de oferta y demanda expresada en toda su brillantez pragmática. Será importante sà o sÃ.
Hola me llamo Maribel tengo 45años y soy alergica al lates;tengo intolerancia a la lactosa y fructosa,y colon irritable. Algunas verduras me sientan mal, como las judias y lentejas potajes etc.Me gustaria perder 15 K.¿Que dieta podria hacer ?
Ugh, panel three reminds me too much of Clerks 2. Must erase every memory I have of that.
I’ll just focus on how cute the other 3 panels are.
I thought Buckaress had her stuff together more than this. It might be true love for Alex but Buckaress isn’t working at the relationship very hard… or so it seems.
I’ve never gotten that impression of her. She’s a serious slacker and a bit on the silly side.
I was actually expecting Bucky to be like that. Except for the snoring that is.
Those boobs must affect her breathing, when she’s on her back.
… speaking of which, it’s nice to have significantly different figures on the two, since one of the issues with serious super-hero comics is that the women tend to have the same impossible physique. Eva’s a bit top-heavy of course, but that’s been a trait of hers and a running joke since her introduction.
Yeah, I can’t sleep on my back at all. It’s like I have a pair of 15 lb weights on my rib cage.
15 each? Christ. Where do you have to go to get bras? Sounds like a specialty size.
Married guy here: can confirm- you have a terminal case of love. I expect Buck to get her ish together if she stays outside the LoSRH house. Roommates makes slovenly behavior far worse.
Neat, nice perspective. Ah, love, the noblest of emotions.
Well, them fooling around the house could be a health hazard (at least for Keith, that would be so incredibly distracted to take care of himself)
Ah, true love.
“Yet” being the most important word.
My marriage all over :D
Wait until the Lesbian Bed Death kicks in.
Lesbian Bed Death? Are lesbians particularly rough on the mattress springs or something?
Lesbian Bed Death sounds like a XXXtreme sport.
Either that or lesbian stuff-porn. Personally, I prefer that both girls survive, so they can cuddle afterward.
Nah, they sound more like this:
I assume Plasma Mongoose is referring to the lack of a refractory period and being multi-orgasmic. Amorous enough partners can realllly pound the… Springs.
You don’t have to be female to lack a refractory period. It’s just a rare condition amongst guys. Apparently my body doesn’t release prolactin, post-orgasm. At least that’s one explanation I’ve heard.
Add to that my frustratingly long trigger, and it makes for a lot of spring abuse. Fortunately, I have a memory-foam mattress.
