Serial killer? That charge is going to last for a long time.
Arthur: “That was a serial killer.’
The Tick: “Spooooon!”
Arthur: “Not that kind of cereal.”
Good Girl has really leveled up. Doing good deeds even when meaning not to. XD
It must be part of a higher power’s plan, right? And Bad Good-Girl can’t defeat that!
not untill she lvls up
Which higher power? We probably have nine or ten gods who have made an appearance in the comic, so far.
The one with the exorcists.
That one doesn’t seem like a benevolent higher-power, which would support someone as good as Good Girl.
Maybe he’s just being a jerk towards Bad-Good Girl.
I guess that’s in keeping with his general behavior. He was a bit of a jerk to the whole world, during that whole flood incident.
Most likely the eldest, most powerful one that can be argued to be lawful good, neutral good, or chaotic good dependent on one’s perspective.
Which of the Sumerian gods is that?
So Bad Good Girl is an anti-hero: Doing good and defeating evil through selfish motives and general sociopathy.
She’s like an accidental Punisher.
“The Accidental Punisher” sounds like a Marvel arthouse film.
Or an indy, art-house porn flick.
Oddly this reminded me of an old series of 2 western novels I read and enjoyed once. Now I need to find them. How The West Was Lost is the second listed under the author. Basically. 2 cowboys framed by a rancher. decide to rob a bank since they’re already outlaws. Accidentally stop a robbery instead.
i’ve just tested this and i think you’ve gotta put a “don’t try this at home” disclaimer on this one.
I dunno, man. You get a bit of a Newton’s-Third-Law-of-Motion effect going, a lot of the time. Some people would never think to try something themselves … until they’re warned, in no uncertain terms, that they absolutely should not try this themselves.
It’s sort of like the “Limit five per customer,” notice on commemorative-coin commercials. Almost no one was going to buy more than one … or one per child, if it’s someone buying some for grandchildren or something. But that notice puts in the minds of some people that maybe they should buy a few.
I can’t wait until we see Mega-Bad Good Girl.
Don’t be so sure the level up isn’t a translating (as opposed to amplifying) effect, that results in Indifferent Girl
That would be ‘Daria’.
I can’t wait to see the greater power that uses Bad Good Girl as a vessel, the way that whatever-that-was used Good Girl during the trial.
Note to self…stop looking so happy when walking down the street…..
At least for the first few weeks after you kill all of those women.
Why limit him to just one gender?
Women are the targets of most serial killers. Charles Manson’s little family was very atypical in its motives and didn’t follow the usual trend.
Most serial killers select from the sex to which they’re attracted. Since almost all serial killers are male, and most guys are straight …
It’s not limiting him, as much as it’s a likely assumption.
More Story Arc!
That remind me of the story of the Players who wanted to play edgy anti-heroes and the GM who always made sure that they would always be super popular.
“Goddammit, I’m too loved, that’s not edgy! I go kill the mayor!”
“Turn out he’s an alien infiltrator, people are talking about making a statue in your honor”
At least that’s better than having one idiot who wants to play an evil necromancer or anti-paladin, in a party of mostly-good heroes. After the party puts down his third character in three weeks, you’d think that even the most oblivious, wannabe-goth boy would take a hint.
Nah, the XP and swag is way too good if done right.
Not when the idiot keeps trying to assassinate the quest contacts or something equally stupid.
Nah, it’s more fun to play the Lawful good necromancer. “In undeath shall ye atone for your life” was the motto carved on his staff.
Well, sure, but that’s not the sort of character that those idiots want to play. Team-killing their characters is a matter of self-defense.
Beating random people instead of arresting them? Whoever heard supers doing that? Outrageous!
It’s Shitroplolis, reason & logic don’t work so well
I think this is the art style that I consider to be the “default” one.
Yeah. There’s always been a slight difference in art styles between the various writers, but they were a lot closer to this style, before Sausage made the recent changes in his art style.
I love Sausage’s greater depth of color and shading, and his faces are a lot more expressive. I’m just not as much of a fan of the over-exaggerated proportions of his female models.
Although, this last strip of his, with Eva and Alex, is a lot better. Eva is still pretty top-heavy, but that’s generally her thing. The rest of her body looks really good, in that first panel. And Alex is fairly reasonably proportioned throughout.
For a while there, Eva was becoming ridiculously proportioned. Pages 511 and 519 were pretty extreme, probably something on the lines of 42″, 16″, 40″. If he stabilizes somewhere around the last page, I’m fine with that.
So what you’re saying is I don’t draw boobs big enough? ;)
You can always trust Narf to say in 200 words what you or I would convey in 20.
I said a whole lot more than “Eva has big boobs,” man. :-P
Heh, nothing of the sort. I’m more of a fan of smaller boobs. They’re just as sensitive for the girl in question, which is the fun part about them, but they don’t wreck the girl’s back.
The overly-exaggerated thing that Sausage had going for a bit there, while he was fiddling around with his style, was more in the waist and hips, I think, approaching dysmorphia. Eva’s waist and hips, in those two pages I mentioned, are at an insane ratio. The whole figure is still appealing to some basic inner-resonance — probably the same thing that made ancient cultures create fertility idols of similar proportions — but it’s a bit of a stretch … or a pinch, in the case of Eva’s waist.
well, in a town where 1/3 of the citizens are heroes, 1/3 are villains and the rest are normal people, randomly assaulting someone gives you 1/3 chances of doing something good, i guess
Loved bad girl in the second panel :D
So, the press never got the second part of that story about the serving the lawsuit, huh?
To quote Mojo Jojo “Curses…”
Better luck next time bad-girl!
Great name for a newspaper
If Good girl and Eva keep improving like this either Lazer Pony will have to get better or they’ll have to move out
Or he will cripple/incinerate/kill them trying to help them.
Isn’t Laser Pony paying most of the rent with his disability checks?
Level up again.
Another Parallel to Supervillainous
We need to get her a tee-shirt, one that reads “Babe with the Power”.
Here’s two thoughts:
Lazer pony has already leveled up,… he has saved the city all by himself with just an allergy.
Bad Good Girl has leveled up, before this she wouldn’t beat up a random dude on the street, she normally lets someone have it after they mess up.
Anyway, I’m wondering how long the recharge lasts on this one.
I don’t know if Lazer Pony’s asteroid incident counts as a power-up as much as an accident. It’s probably the same level of power that he’s always had, just magnified for the narrative necessity of the joke.
It’s sort of like Stewie, in Family Guy. Can everyone understand him, or is he just talking to himself in baby talk? It depends upon the necessity of the episode.
I like Mr Dork’s art style on this comic.
