Just wait. Once the baby has manifested, you’ll be looking for super powered preschools.
Does anyone else notice he recognizes the mascara running down her face? That is one hell of a dirty joke, thank you writers~
Could someone explain this one to me?
At least they didn’t go for the “splashing her face with gooey stuff” and then he recognizes her…
You don’t want to know. You really don’t.
I still want to know. I made a Google search for “mascara” “sex” and “football”.
The results were not helpful at all…
Fine, you asked.
Tears are a natural part of the gag reflex. Buckaress has obviously worn non-waterproof mascara since High School.
I am going to really, REALLY hope that that wasn’t the intent of that line.
She left the room to panic immediately after he was informed of the truth, so this is just the first time that he had to comment on it. Not the mascara. PLEASE not the mascara.
After all, they did rather strongly imply that she was quite willingly sleeping with the entire football team.
And the softball team, and the basketball team, and the…
I think he refers to the supervillain/superhero thing
I think OP is thinking of a gagging joke, nothing more.
I’m fairly certain the running mascara is unrelated to his recognition. He already vaguely remembered her earlier, and only fully recognizes her now after the open announcement that he’d slept with her. (A revelation that also caused the running mascara.)
Have to agree with the sis. Best bullshit writers :p
i don’t know why
but i expect this fight to end up as the breaks her water all over the floor.
she does look ready to pop after all and excitation in those case on pregnant lady has some “strange” effects.
If she is pregnant.
1) Her waters break
2) They rush her to hospital
3) Suddenly, SUPERVILLANS! (Attack the hospital)
5) Profit… Erm, I mean, “all is well and she accepts that her sister is heroing.” Heroineing. Whatever.
Or, ask about when she’s due, and she says she’s not pregnant, which adds to the worst day ever.
I wonder if before leaving, she will ask “Oh, BTW, Does this dress makes me look fat?”
Classic superhero dilema. But in this comic they actually adress the fact that there’s like, a million super heroes all over the place.
The point about the super heroes without powers is a valid point. Just like his DC counterpart, Flying Fox Man is probably one of the most effective crime fighters in Shitropolis.
Well, having superpowers doesn’t automatically mean you’re super at your job.
Which the main cast showcase flawlessly. By being some of the most flawed people at their job.
He’s effective because of writing. His suit for instance, is not protection against LP, who could have just shot a hole through him, instead of the cape. :p
Might do okay against those non super powered bad guys though for sure :p
Nah, he’s probably good at dodging. Just barely good enough, but good enough to avoid supers.
Also, given the average competence level of even the non-redundant heroes and villains in town, even a modest amount of competence could make you the most effective hero in the city.
I’m still of the opinion that Alex *does* have a superpower—competence.
Where dose that leave captain competence
Remember LP once took out a meteor with those laser’s even Batman’s suit couldn’t handle something that powerful
It’s quite possible that even Superman’s suit couldn’t handle something that powerful
Things are hotting up!
AHA! So Daddy was a superhero who Suffered a Terrible Fate!
Or … was he a super-VILLAIN who Suffered a Terrible Fate at the hands of a superhero?
Works either way.
In the meantime, let us enjoy Bucky’s humiliation …
Or comes back as a supervillain.
Or was collateral damage in a superfight.
Or was a super villain posing as a superhero, then died and comes back as a superhero posing as a super villain’s ex-roommate’s baby sitter’s mom.
You forgot to add “actor impersonating the clone of the robot double of his identical twin brother Skippy”. Without that you lose all credibility.
Obviously they’re in hell, just look out the window. What, you thought that was a painting behind Alex and Beth?
I wonder what’s playing in the background.
Highway to Hell
Or 24 hour news.
aka. “all of the above”
That last line is both brutally sad and absolutely hilarious.
To answer your question Bucky, No and Yes.
Sure, there are lots of costumed freaks in this city but only 1/10th of them are actually COMPETENT
And alex is one….
Wow, dude is DEFINITELY denser than an adamantium brick in the brains department – that’s what i get for joking in this comic… :P
Well, at least he said that out of earshot of his wife.
