It’s not Todd’s fault that he has the most easily-faked power-set in the history of unnatural powers (people have been faking psychic powers for millennia, y’know).
Unless of course he’s really faking it, in which case he needs therapy for being an attention whore at his age.
That was actually something of a minor plot point in a very old Marvel comics B&W story set on an alternate Earth where everyone had developed super-powers except one guy. To try and avoid the stigma of being normal he faked psychic powers until some jerk came around and used their actual psychic powers to read his mind and tell everyone. He got a taste of what having powers was like when he met Aquarian and then it got REALLY odd at the end as the Celestials came to Earth and took everyone except Aquarian (whose powers would prevent that from happening) for some mysterious purpose including normal guy.
I am amazed and astounded you actually knew the comic and issue number that story was in, that had to be an obscure story yet you recognized it without trouble.
You think that’s bad, try being professor e^x.
“So how do you get your superpowers professor e^2?”
“*sigh* I get them from… rabbits… rabbits going at it like there’s no tomorrow”
There’s ALWAYS a Todd, isn’t there? Every office has THAT GUY who won’t play along.
“You’re fired, Todd.” There, that’s my happy thought. You being frogmarched out of the building by security. Now I’m happy enough to choke a dozen mind-parasites!
You are not you, when your on someone else’s(sic) thoughts.
*snicker*
Making funny faces. That’s how you channel a mind shield. Everyone knows that.

You have got to tell me the name and issue number of that comic. It sounds incredible.
Bizarre Adventures#32 (August, 1982) It’s a black-and-white magazine.

My Google-Fu is mighty. :)
Day 2 in the cult of the mind and new member Todd is beginning to have his doubts…
Doubt?! That’s how the psychic parasites get you to drop your guard!
Yeah, practice safe mind shielding.
Positive thoughts? So, is this Professor Plus?
(as Professor X would probably want multiplicative thoughts)
That somehow sounds dirty…
Some X multiplicative thoughts are dirty.

We’re all assuming Todd is the psychic, but what if it’s the Suit Guy?
And his superpower is being incredibly disruptive to other people trying to save each other.
Yeah, in fact I never even considered that Todd might be the psychic until after reading the comments
If anything, all this negativity could have been used to form a more retaliatory mind shield. This guy just has no imagination.
Ah, point. Or hang out with Bolf and Spank.
