I just realized- lazy Good Girl is Tomorrow Girl because she’ll put off everything until tomorrow. Still not sure why there’s two of her, although I suspect it’s something timey wimey.
Of course the prophecy is vague! ALL prophecies are vague! Any sooth-sayer who gave a clear and unambiguous prophecy would have their union card revoked!
“The prophecy is really rather vague …” HA! And he calls himself a cultist?
No some are quite concise, such as a prophesy that a guy would die in an incredibly unlikely set of circumstances (including standing on something in the rain I think) and the idiot was stupid enough that when his woman said ‘hey could you do all the stuff in the prophesy for me honey? Please?’ he did and was promptly given the murder blow that finished him off.
In the tale of Math fab Mathonwy (Math son of Mathonwy) the fourth of the of the four branches of the Mabinogi Lleu Llaw Gyffes (Bright Skilful Hand) can only be killed under very specific circumstances.
While Lleu is away on business, his wife Blodeuwedd (Flower-face) has an affair with Gronw Pebr (Gronw the Radiant), the lord of Penllyn (Head of the Lake the Canref by Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake)), and the two lovers conspire to murder Lleu. Blodeuwedd tricks Lleu into revealing how he may be killed, since he cannot be killed during the day or night, nor indoors or outdoors, neither riding nor walking, not clothed and not naked, nor by any weapon lawfully made.
He reveals to her that he can only be killed at dusk, wrapped in a net, with one foot on a bath and one on a goat, by a riverbank and by a spear forged for a year during the hours when everyone is at mass. With this information she arranges his death.
Struck by the spear thrown by Gronw’s hand, Lleu transforms into an eagle and flies away. He survives is turned back into a human and gets his revenge. Blodeuwedd is turned into an Owl and he kills Gronw with a spear throw through a rock.
And lo, at some point in their lives when they felt like it, the cloaked ones would visit some random dwelling in their locality, and lo, the first female they encountered at said dwelling would be identified as the Tomorrow Girl.
As it was spoken by some guy in a cloak, so it was written!

Also, “Oedipus if you ever go home, you will kill your father and marry your mother” wasn’t vague at all, just nobody told Oedipus he was adopted.
“Vague” and “menacing” are two of the three things that make a good prophecy.

How to get away with a bad plot summary, coin it as prophecy that way no one will question it’s vagueness!
Except for the Welsh version.

And that’s why there are no Welsh prophets left.
I imagine if it’d been Eva that had come to the front door, the cultists would’ve identified her as the Tomorrow Girl instead.
In accordance to prophecy.
