I don’t think people who demanded money to help out should be making these kinds of arguments. They’re either mercenaries or employees. Either way, shaddap.
OTOH, they’re in a situation none of them could have predicted, including that exormagician or whatever he is. So, as to finding a way out, his voice should weigh the same as that of any of the others. (Not concerning the house, of course, but that’s a different matter.)
He was EMPLOYED by her, what he demanded was she pay her bill that she was totally going to stiff him on otherwise if she wanted more from him. He also has every right to question a complete stranger’s ability to lead them at the time. To him she was a complete stranger that hired him then said she was going to not pay him what she owed him, something that hardly gave him any reason to trust her. So no he has every right to speak up.
Yes, he has cause to speak up and question her authority. But given that he keeps charging her for every little bit of information I can see why she wants to push him aside if she thinks she can do better. He’s a mercenary jerk whose sole attitude up until now is getting paid. They have far more dire concerns right now than padding his wallet.
You might have missed the bit where the cultists chanting may (or may not) have transported the house to an apparently cultist-free cavern, so Keith is probably on his own.
She would love to state the obvious answer as to why she’s qualified, but you have to pay up first, how much? Say the amount we paid you earlier? Oh why thank you!
So you think it okay for her to rob him? Because that’s what she intended to do, rob him. You declare you aren’t going to pay your bill for services rendered you’re robbing someone.
…Have I just dropped into a alternative universe comments forum where light hearted comments must be treated as extremely serious, with assumptions written in also?
And yes I’m perfectly fine with Alex robbing anyone notthat said that but if that’s your view then I share it. I’m as fine with it as I’m fine with fox-man and his doppledanger batman using violence to stop crime so long as it’s inflicted on me.
And that can be the problem with sarcasm, it’s meaning can be easily missed, especially if your someone like me and can be very literal minded at times.
I still wonder if Alex’s superhero name is “Night/Winter Owl” or Owl/Hawk (“Hawk Owl”) related. (It has an avian design, but very similar to Batman and “hunts” criminals by night.)
AFAIK We have seen her costume but not her Alias, and I really doubt is “The sexy black chick with the suit similar to Flying Fox Man but with boobs”.
It’s important because, since Bucky is now her sid… err… “associate” could change her name to something else… like “Boob Wonder” or something.
Now see, that’s why I never keep a flashlight around. I do not what to be in the lead. Experience has taught me that terrible things tend to happen to those in the lead when exploring the unknown.
Even if we do only count GG once and eliminate Buck for conflict of interest, that’s still two to one.
I accept both of your arguments, but that either makes 3 to 1 or 2 to 0. If you’re counting him as voting for himself, you also need to count her.
Not if the question at hand is specifically about her leadership, rather than an election per sé. This is all semantics though.
No matter what else, two facts are overwhelming …
They are in a dark cavern …
And Alex is the only person with a flashlight.
So the selection process for the leader is moot.
I’d prefer someone who has some experience with labyrinths and a known sense of direction. Or at least knowing a labyrinth algorithm.
Ok, moot too.
Or has cheat codes.

Hired and didn’t fix the problem.

Plus: she has pockets!
If I didn’t miss something, Keith is still in the house, potential hostage to the cultists. Poor cultists …
Youre also missing a really pissed off Gyro gnome, and LP is not in the house.
Poor Keith’s crotch.
You might have missed the bit where the cultists chanting may (or may not) have transported the house to an apparently cultist-free cavern, so Keith is probably on his own.
Keith will be okay. He’s locked the door and is drinking brewskies while looking at porn on his phone. XD
He’s watching porn, remember?

‘not inflicted on me’ (lousy keyboard.)
I would’ve totally passed that off as sarcasm.

Mr de Sangue commits daylight robbery above ground. Alex commits nightlight robbery below ground. Sounds fair to me.
She’d provide a service of her own, and it would be of about equal value. You are trying to rob her, you filthy sexist!!!!!°11

Pretty sure her hero name is Defendress. I think she stated it in the arc where Eva met her sister.
Or food exploder.
Or food fight.
She’s more like Dove than Hawk.

Like Samuel L. Jackson in “Deep Blue Sea”?
