If I had to guess, someone with WAY too much money and or time on their hands that they just got super bored. So basically the Senor Seniors from Kim Possible? Or ‘God’, considering it’s clear he’s not doing anything else to improve their world?
You mean the Flying Fox Cave? That’s under their house, remember?…which come to think of it means his cave’s been exposed since their house, which is on top of it…isn’t anymore.
I love how all the characters ignore the aiming handles on LP’s head and *nobody* thinks his special brand of incompetence could ever be useful. I find it oddly fitting only the Perfect Superhero (possible TM) Mary Sue finds him worthwhile.
I mean, didn’t Buckaress start training with LP and his handles? They weren’t immediate marksman, but…

This is why LP should have blasted it. With his power, he would have just blown away or burnt all the gas.
I was thinking that too.
Yeah, great to have all the gas burned. Along with anyone else beforehands.
Aiming istn’t really his superpower.
I assumed Lazer Pony was gonna blast it…and a hole leading to the surface.
Probably somebody who has spent a lifetime making enemies.
Or it’s a resident evil storyline, that series always had some of the most outrageous traps they could think of.
Boring explanation: No one did. The gas was already in the boulder due to prehistoric chemical reactions.
Or it could be a redundant trap.
The trap released a boulder, and when the boulder was destroyed that released a trap …
Who is paranoid to set a trap that goes off because a trap was thwarted?
OMG! They’re in the Batcave!!

THERE she is!
They’re all there. And I’d like to assume the obnoxious occultist fell first.
Nah… here he comes to save the daaaaay… for a price!
(Boy, I’m old, and you too if you get the reference)
Mighty Mouse?
No. Look closely at the left edge of the third panel. That’s hi slumped on the ground.
Only one we know of who’s not out for the count is Keith.
Fourth panel!
So used to these being three-panel strips!
It’s woth a try.
IT’S WOTH A TRY.
IT’S >WOTH< A TRY.
I guess it's pretty woth it.
No gas mask in the utility belt? Some utility belt…..

I’m reminded of the boulder trap in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime that turned out to be a balloon with a speaker inside it.
