I was wondering if this would get busted up by one of the other cults who got fizzled at the grand alignment or whatever, and I had a secret hope that Keith would zip in and bust them up having seen them web-casting the sacrifice live, but this here (so far) is perfectly fine.
Etrigan has had a lot of attention lately:
He played a prominent role in Justice League Dark. He was in Batman: TAS, Batman: Brave and the Bold, Justice League Action (multiple times), Flashpoint Paradox.
Not everyone remembers him from the justice league cartoon (especially those of us who’ve never watched the justice league cartoon). Some of us remember him from the comics.
Not sure if that would work; Jason Blood was once turned into a fly, but managed to transform by writing the spell in spilled flour. Long story short, the hero always manages
To be fair, I’m not sure they even knew he was a caster – they state that they have no idea who he is and, thus, don’t think there are any important procedures to take, in #690.
“OK, we don’t know who he is, so we just shackled him to a wall.”

That would require Keith to be proactive. Or active, for that matter.
Keith can get very active when his “berserk” button gets hit, cf. number 548.
Someone not super redundant? Odd.
Alex already was not redundant. And she made Buckaress less redundant.
And Good Girl just got a powerup.
And he’s not even a member of the league.
So that’s a little bit obscure, huh?
I only know about the character this guy’s based on because he showed up in a Batman-related comic. :D
Most modern fans who know about Etrigan do so from his guest shot on Batman: TAS.

I forgot Justice League TAS and Justice League Unlimited TAS.
Terragon? TERRAGON?
What’s he going to do, serve them a meal with Bearnaise sauce?
Of course it might be embarassing to be killed by a herb which is a staple of french cuisine …
I think you meant tArragon. I Googled Terragon and the results were either a company that recover sources from waste and a Digital Media company.
The character is a parody of the DC character, Etrigan
thank you.
HAH.
And his rhyming is pretty spot on too ^_^
Loranna
Dammit henchman 36! You actually told someone get on with their “poem” The random “nonsense” didn’t raise an eyebrow and urge to respond?
Oh well time to see this parody that everyone remembers from the justice league cartoon to break some skulls.
Not everyone remembers him from the justice league cartoon (especially those of us who’ve never watched the justice league cartoon). Some of us remember him from the comics.
I wish this parody wasn’t so on-the-nose, tho.
10 buck says he starts killing everyone in the room including the heroes.
5 bucks says he’s got Hexagon on speed-dial.
Or is Hexagon’s parent. “You, young lady, are grounded. Now, go to hell and stay in your room”
make it 10
And that’s why you also gag your prisoners, specially if you also have casters among your ranks, you should expect something like this to happen.
Not sure if that would work; Jason Blood was once turned into a fly, but managed to transform by writing the spell in spilled flour. Long story short, the hero always manages
Yup, and they are redundant “minimum wage” villains, so no.
To be fair, I’m not sure they even knew he was a caster – they state that they have no idea who he is and, thus, don’t think there are any important procedures to take, in #690.

Gone, oh little man so tame,
Arise the demon… Whatsisname?
Gone the man, but I confess
This demon form is just useless.
Now why did I have a feeling that he could do that? Oh yeah, DC comics. No wonder this seems super redundant…
Weak has always been the freestyle of man. Tight is the flow of Etrigan. ~ Texts from superheroes.
What is this, an episode of Charmed?
Also, it happens to be National Poetry Day.
It’s a good thing etrigan’s name rhymed with “man”
Otherwise, the poem probably wouldn’t have worked.
Wait, what would happen if his name was too hard to pronounce?
Etrigan once managed to rhyme the word “orange”. (He used “door hinge”.)
Guy’s a pro.
…I am more than a little ashamed that I didn’t recognize the tagalong’s resemblance to Jason Blood until now.
