Nah, people think that, but in a world run by douchebags, the best people can hope for is bread and circuses, demons don’t have much concept of that, they work on a heirachy where those with power boss around and tourture those without.
Yup. Demons is like Aztecs plus Hitler running the world.

The Patrician actually has the bread and circuses down to a fine art.
Oppression is fine so long as there is an acceptable minimum level of comfort for the masses. Demons who only want war and bloodshed and generally make the masses lives a living hell is generally seen as the less preferable option.

Kurg didn’t want to destroy the world, then remake it in his image. The destroy the world first part kinda sucks.

Huh. So is she saying that there’s nothing he can do to the world, or is the panic on the last panel them realizing that he already did it in panel 2, and all of their memories if their life in this jackassed world is the result of him changing it a few seconds ago?
No she’s pretty much insulting him by saying he’s a DB and that the world is already run by people in his image. Hence why she suddenly goes ‘wait I said that out loud I didn’t want to do that.’

Gratz on 700. You couldn’t get rid of me. AT&T for a short while had your IP blocked. I had to hop onto my neighbor’s cable Wi-Fi to see what was happening. It took me about 3 weeks of e-mails to AT&T to get it resolved. If I was going anywhere that would have been the time to jump ship.

how does she know about the council? (Seriously, it shouldn’t have taken 2 years for someone to mention the council from a few strips back that chose to start a war rather than anything else)
You know, something I’d really like to see is a summoning like this where he then says ‘You think I have to do what that old prophet says why, exactly?’ and just joins society and becomes a CEO or lawyer or something.
