She isn’t (or they aren’t) in their normal state of many years past, though. To quote BGG1 in #718, ‘you think one of us should just cease to exist?’ If anyone has earned a right to exist, it’s GG. God agrees with me, so nyah.
Another character flaw an actual Mary-Sue wouldn’t have; A Mary-Sue would automatically know, and act on, the Right course of action, from the very start, and convince everyone else of the right course of action, and succeed at it instantly.
I’m not really complaining :P it’d be pretty dumb to complain about writing a character with MORE depth than their archetype is supposed to have. I just think it’s funny.
Of course the real question is once recharged (if it can be recharged) will it forcibly merge the two BGG into a single being again, settle on one of them to make into a single GG and leave one BGG, or split again so that we go back to two NGG (Neutral Good Girls)..
I think the “real” good girl is long, long gone, and died the day the exorcism happened.
Both states are, in a sense, a form of her being mind controlled. One by compulsion to do purely good deeds, and one by a compulsion to do purely bad ones(Luckily for them, she has no powers and is motivated by selfishness!).
She has no compulsions to do bad ones. She just does it because she is unable to do it under its influence.
Once she gets it out of her system, she should become an Ordinary Girl, unless someone charges the Halo again.
I have to agree with that. Once the original girl was subjected to having ‘Smiles Painted On Her Soul’ by that exorcism that subjected her to that halo she ceased to exist. She’s lived her life magically forced to do good, when the halo’s drained what’s left is a mind damaged by that compulsion and as a result lashes out trying to counter the good it was forced to do rather than chose to do.
(stepping out of the gutter of what “Pretty please” could get LP)
I’m thinking that there is a time limit on Hexagons splitting GG up, and a charged halo may shorten the time before she remerges.
(Though I’m good with two Meh girls,… they are interesting.)
Well, for that matter, BGG is her “normal” state?
I like to think some sort of negative force is controlling her in that state. A lazy, negative force.
I’d say this comic sugjest GG is’nt her normal state

There is a big chance you’re right,or the halo compressed the bad behavior and BGG is when the dam breaks
Probably the latter. And when all the badness has been exhausted, all that remains is some female version of Keith. Or two of them.
With a rest of caring, though. So BGG isn’t per se bad, but just a bit less lazy (in all respects) than Keith.

I mean, depends on the Sue. In this case, she’s succumbed to the “Perfect Girlfriend Sue.”
It is interesting that she DOES recognize instantly the conundrum of the situation.
Well, that’s he thing, she’s not a “real” Sue, she’s supposed to be a lampoon of the concept. (You know, like Hello Nurse on Animaniacs.)

Good Girl had her fully charged halo for the fight against Hexagon. I’m pretty sure it’ll leave one GG and one BGG.
is Good Girl GG’s *normal* state, or her mind controlled state?
What will happen if MS thinks recharging the halo is a bad deed, thereby deep-discharging it and irrevocably damage it?
Hmm. My prediction is that MS will hypercharge the Halo and we end up with a near permanent GG and BGG.

She’s actually Neutral Good Girl, but Due to Einstein’s Theory of Relativity she’s Bad due to the Sheer Goodness Energy of the Halo.
You have a point, but I dunno if how it would turn out that way once the pressure’s been bled off. They haven’t shown what would happen so *shrug*.

Meanwhile, in the Indigo Tribe !
