“What’s the worst that can happen?” Is a trigger phrase for the universe. Add on that it is October IRL, and we have ourselves a spooky story coming up.
You have a guy who can blast holes in solid rock with LASERs from his eyes and you can’t figure how to get back up? Solution one: Pony blasts handholds into the rock face. Solution 2: He just carves a ramp in the rock and they casually walk up. Problem solved!
I would caution against this approach. Nothing in the past shows LP to have any fine point control on his blast weaponry. He’d probably punch through the cliff, into the forest on top of the hill, and start a major conflagration.
The real questions are, Why is there a path that leads to the cliff bottom? And, Who would do such a thing?
Since Buckaress mentions following the path downhill, it may merely lead *past* the cliff, the aforesaid piece of geography interrupting its otherwise direct connection to whatever is uphill.
I wonder if GG will read some “spooky stories” from a book that BGG gave to her, but even if she won’t understand any of the words written in it, she will read them aloud.
I don’t know why you’d think that. We haven’t seen her run out of juice since the fight with Hexagon, but there’s no reason at all to think she has unlimited power now.
Can’t Silly Halo fly anymore? Cant’ LP carve a stair with his penetrating gaze? Can’t Buckaress cook something and burn away every single obstacle?! What kind of superheroes are these? Mary Sueeee!!!
Eh,
Good girl could power up and fly them back up two at a time.
But for the sake of story, let them make the number three mistake in classic horror movies: go down the unbeaten path far from civilization.
Hhhmm? I was right? It was a shortcut?
I have a bad feeling about this……
I smell an evil lair coming
dammit buckaress, you had to jinx it
The only worry they have right now is if it starts to rain, and they all try to take shelter under Buckaress’ chest. It *might* be a tight fit.
When someone says “what’s the worst that could happen?”, the universe usually responds with “heh, well let’s see now…”
Only in fiction. In real life the Universe yawns and shrugs.
I wonder if the next strips will be drawn like one of them is holding a camera and recording everything they do… Oh wait, that is already happening.
It’s strange. Good Girl’s map doesn’t show that path.
Or the drop LP fell down.
Or indeed anything beyond the edge of the map!

Buckaress trained him, remember? They almost got it controlled, almost… Anyhow, “what’s the worst that can happen?” (sic)
“To the cliff bottom” or “past the cliff bottom”?
Tempting fate, are we?

I would be more worried about getting stranded in the middle of nowhere with no supplies AND an angry and hungry BGG when the halo loses its charge.
It does not work that way anymore since GG split in two, right?
I don’t know why you’d think that. We haven’t seen her run out of juice since the fight with Hexagon, but there’s no reason at all to think she has unlimited power now.

They can do the elimination game. Point LP in a direction, switch his eyebeam on and presto, no civilization in that direction.
Sounds good enough to me. Where you write “civilization”, I read “probably an obstacle in my way, mwahahaha!”
