Anybody else notice he neglected to answer me her third question? Which means by omission he isn’t saying she DOESN’T have to kick his ass, meaning she can! Which he might be into. Never know, dude might like a strong woman. Gonna break his heart (or not) when he learns Alex is dating Bucky.
Then, perhaps the team haven’t travelled in time at all, but instead to an all-but isolated land where a tribe of Norsemen survived into the present preserving their ancient lifestyle.
I checked Niflheim (which is the spelling used in Wikipedia) and it seems it was pretty much the same place as Hel, although, being mythology, there are various accounts and it’s sometimes described as a different world. In this case, the description is “Hel of Nifelheim” so it’s safe to assume it’s going with the “both are the same world” version.
I wonder how long Bucky’s smile will last when she finds out that this “Quest” is
a) something life-endangering
b) extremely gross
c) It will require coming back several steps to accomplish several sub-quests
d) All of the above.
Obviously, the king’s quest is he wants variety. He’s going to ask Buckaress to bring him hassenpfeffer, and every rabbit in the kingdom is going to spontaneously combust.
But if an extremely large number of creatures in forests and grasslands suddenly burst into flame, how would they tell their ancestral home apart from Muspelheim?
Heh,heh, heh I’m not sure that’s the kind of quest ol’ Kinky is thinking of.

Who knows, he might be the type who’s into stuff like that.
You could always argue he did answer her third question, and with a positive:
“Do I have to kick your ass too?”
“Very well”
Of course, he might think she’s referring to his donkey.
It could also be a bonus objective? You don’t have to, but you do gain extra rewards if you do?
She’ll be less excited once she finds out its one of those “bring back 20 of something with a 5% drop rate” quests.
No it will be with a .01% drop rate from a creature that only spawns at a .009% rate.
Their ancestors, eh?

Shouldn’t Hel be ruled by, well, Hel, who is a woman?
Nope, HelA is the ruler of Hel
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hela_(comics)
Actually, Hel, daughter of Loki, presides over Hel. Hela was just a comic book supervillain based on Hel.
I’m fairly certain Hela and Hel are both considered correct, though Hela is much less common. A bit like Ra and Re.
“A bit like Ra and Re.” And the real pronounciation of that name was apparently something like Ri’a. Weird, huh?
Hela is just an alternative spelling/pronunciation of Hel, same character.
Also she was actually blue and black, and in the skin, not the clothes. Those Marvel guys don’t get things right ever!
Hel is the 9th Realm, Niflheim is the 7th. Georgia is a location in the USA, but Georgia is a completely different country.
But, with all the mist, I guess this might be Niflhel too
Given that this is Hel of Nifelheim, and the goddess Hel ruled for a time in Nifelheim, maybe this is all a mental landscape inside her head?

Hel, Niflhel, Niflheim. Same place, or different places?
Not happy enough with breaking the barrier of time, Bucky is now trying to break the 4th wall…
Or is facing an out-of-shot LP & GG.

Because there wouldn’t be all of creation springing up at the edges of the fires?
Hel is the norse realm of the dead, and Niflheim is the land of ice and cold.
Oh wow, Bucky looks so excited, she’s simply adorable.
