Fast Travel options have existed a lot longer than in video games. Even in the old Western-genre of TV & movies, a cowboy riding slowly with no particular destination being critical (especially if said cowboy also sings while playing guitar), then they could travel vast distances quickly.
It’s only when they ride hard to “cut ‘em off at the pass” & stop the desperatos from linching the deputy is when it might take several sequence-shots to establish that the hero is still a long way off.
As long as the narration box is in the next strip but one, with the next strip being a cut back to Keith and BGG. Possibly with a Gyrognome cameo about being upset that he can’t punch LP in the nads,
What if he punches KEITH in the ‘nads? Both Gyrognome and Keith are characters who get away with basically anything… What happens when they end up on opposite sides? Immovable Object, meet Irresistable Force!
What if she’s easily distracted, and whenever people have parted company with her, she’s missed them leave, and just assumes they fast travelled, when really, she was engrossed in watching a spider weave a web for half an hour while they wandered off.
Those mountains look a lot closer than a day’s walk – no, wait, that’s Buckaress.
The Grand Tetons…
In the valley though, tourists may enjoy some motorboating activities.
Fast travel points you don’t even need to unlock first? That’s some high-level magic indeed!
Maybe it’s level based instead of open world.
Maybe they’re using the Elf’s credential to use them. She lived her whole life around here after all, no?
Maybe they unlocked some story-based travel points by completing the first part of their quest.
Let pixie create a portal there so you can activate it. That’s how it works, isn’t it?

They just need a narration box – “After an uneventful trip, our heroes arrive at their next destination.”

We’ll probably end up with the Irresistable Object and the Immovable Force.
It’s Shitropolis after all.
LOL!
I could imagine Deadpool pulling one of these out of his pocket(s).
Disembodied Voice: *whispers* You can’t fast travel when enemies are nearby!
Humans: *Stare at elf*
Elf: I’m not your enemy! I’m more… ambivalent about your overall survival.
Humans: *Stare harder*
*insert “it’s magic, ain’t gonna explain shit” meme here*
