In this case, the -ina is not a diminutive (even if it was Spanish), but a demonym. The name means “from Alexandria” (the city). But truly, she merits to be an Alexandrinona indeed :)
Maybe. It rings true that Alexandrina could be Spanish or Latin or some other Romance for “Alexandrian” (femenine). However most Spaniards would just say “Egipcia” (Egyptian) if not something more imprecise even. Alexandrina still sounds diminutive to me, what is not quite what Alexandrina is.
I don’t think they’re in a parallel universe/alternate dimension where there’s another LoSRH team. I think someone has made a stage show based on observations of the team since they arrived.
Also, I’ve got an idea that when they’ve fast travelled, it’s only appeared fast for them. For everyone else, taking the long way round, they’ve been in the area for a while and tales of their exploits have gotten around.
Hmmm… I begin to suspect this whole business is some sort of elaborate prank/trap on the part of the devil who tried to sue Good Girl, back in Shitropolis. Who else would have the power to transport them to this realm, and the knowledge to put together this stage act (with deliberate insults to the LoSRHs?
Hadn’t thought of that. The Desperate Housewitch might be able to set something like this up, and she definitely knows the LOSHRS well enough. Plus, it would explain why the show seems to focus on Bucky as the main character, since Josie was rather obsessed with her.
Nope, absolutely no similarity. Could not be more inaccurate. They made Alex’s boobs bigger than bucks.
Now they’ve begun to shrink.
This reminds me of the Ember Island Players episode of Avatar the Last Airbender, but way trippier.
Best. Recap. Episode. Ever.
Of all time!
Agreed!
That and the No Need for Bushido actors that were confused for the MCs.
Alexandrona to me. -ina is a diminutive, -ona an aumentative (in Spanish at least).
Wait, you mean she’s a cyborg too?
No. Did you misuderstood me because I misspelled “augmentative”? I’m confused: why a cyborg?
If I had to guess, it’s because of ‘Drona’ sounding like ‘drone’.
OK, that’s probably the joke. I just wasn’t seeing it at all.

PS- Actually in Spanish it’d be Alejandrina, because Alexandria is spelled Alejandría. Maybe in original Latin…
Why do I get the feeling that the LP character will turn out to be the competent one?
because lp is literally the only incompetent laser stalion?

I wonder if the fair…errr… “elf” has been talking to somebody about them behind their backs…
Keith will be the mastermind, perhaps.

Hmm… What’s Josie’s surname? It wouldn’t happen to be “Williams”, would it?
Hadn’t thought of that. The Desperate Housewitch might be able to set something like this up, and she definitely knows the LOSHRS well enough. Plus, it would explain why the show seems to focus on Bucky as the main character, since Josie was rather obsessed with her.
Did they “make” her counterpart fat, or is she simply played by a chubby actress?
