This magic kdom. is clearly low on budget, normally a lesser sheriff or judge would take care of such meddlesome villains, monarchs’ attributions are war and peace primarily, not judging lesser misdeamanors.
Alternatively it’s a very boring backwater realm and the Queen’s orders are strictly to bother her on any minor issue, because else she gets booooored.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that the person in the balcony isn’t the queen. I mean, she hasn’t been positively identified as the queen, and there could be any number of nobles/royals who’ve heard about these ‘meddlesome villains’.
One possibility is that the realm they are in is a constitutional monarchy similar to the UK and the person on the balcony is actually the Prime Minister. Thus the informality of address. In that case they may be in more trouble than they think and better not underestimate her.
It’s true! It’s not every day you meet royalty, but the one day you do you meet ALL the royalty!
Royalty can be hard to identify; you could be meeting royalty all day without realizing it.
Are Buckaress and LP here this time? I’ve been finding it hard to tell who is supposed to be with the group.
They should be, 2 strips ago they showed all of them being captured
Well she certainly has a royal cup.
Queen-sized in fact. (Ok, I’ll let myself out…)
Finally, an intelligent monarch, who doesn’t meet prisoners face to face where they can attack her.
She probably learned from her predecessors’ mistakes.

The fact that the knight doesn’t call her ‘your majesty’ or any other kind of title points in that direction as well…
She’s “The Evil Queen”, get over it. It’s a backwater realm, protocole is of the absence!
She is someone important, that balcony is big and gilded. They either must not use a big banner to display whose in charge, or its in the cleaners…
