But as to what to do, she’s an evil ruler with magical powers and she has a hoard of gold, so putting the two together, I believe she’s supposed to turn herself into a dragon and sleep on it.
well, in a “good” fantasy setting, the castle would have huge reserve of gold accumulated in the event of a disaster where they would have to spend money to fix the damages or to reward a hero for killing the horrible monster causing the disaster
gotta keep at least that much in the treasury just in case, modern banking system don’t exist in fantasy setting
