Well, the catch is how transparent this is. All guards being arrested should trigger any and all alarms of the bank. It’s no less obvious than throwing a smoke-granate into the main hall, or, say, cutting the power to all the lighting.
‘Any and all’ includes everyone being alarmed about this.
If all your guards are arrested as a bank, the least you would do is close down the bank, lock everything up, and convince the police (possibly with money) to stand guard until new guards arrive. If in the process the defunct alarms/cameras are detected, the police already being on sight does not help the heist.
If it wasn’t inherent in the comic I’d have to wonder how stupid the police are to go in guns drawn and arrest security guards based on an anonymous tip when they clearly have no evidence of a crime being committed and making zero effort to verify whether or not the call was legitimate.
To be fair, t is a common strategy
That … is utterly brilliant. Ocean’s 11 level of brilliant.
I think you wrote “servral” instead of “several”

Shewrlock Holmes undermined Scotland Yard’s credibility,
Batman undermined Gotham PD’s credibility,
FFM is currently investigating Shitropolis’ Finest’s missing credibility.

You’re forgetting that Ms. Red has taken care of the alarms :-)

There is another possiblity:
What if these police are actually the fakes?
For a moment I thought that cop looked like Mr. Purple there, but his nose looks different.
