Somehow I think it’s bad to put the fairy in charge of mission control,
she’s going to try an get them to confiscate coca leaves and set up her own chicken buisness.
Also, they weren’t originally intending to do anything except stop her taking over her own world with coca-chicken.
They technically abducted her, but they’re not forcing her to stay or forcing her to work, as impressment or conscription would suggest. She could always fly off and find somewhere else to stay.
Be honest now. How many people does one know using computers that also know how they work. Computers have become “turnkey” systems over time. You buy one, take it home, plug it in, and viola! (sic), next thing you know you’re following LOSRH. It’s a windfall for people like me who actually do know how they (along with smartphones) work. I deal mostly with seniors and most of the time I spend removing malware, bloatware, and unwanted apps. One of the most common comments I hear from clients is “I didn’t know it could do that!”.
Yay, from those who have the ability!

She’s an elf. Don’t call her a fairy in her hearing; you’ll get an earfull.
I think the issue is more “don’t have a vital computer system controlled by someone barely the size of the space bar”.
So I guess she’s officially joined the team, then
Being joined, more like
Think the word is “shanghaied” among sailors.
Pressganged, surely?
Both terms only apply in a nautical context. Impressment (Pressganging, only used wrt the Royal Navy) being legal, Shanghaiing being illegal.
You might say she’s been conscripted, although, as she’s a illegal alien, that doesn’t fit completely either.

So she’s not going to be serving as recon then? Fair enough.
More like she’s “chick in the chair,” like from Flying Fox, Beyond…
*fairy enough
Does she have ANY clue how computers work?
She’s dealt with magic before, so arcane devices with seemingly arbitrary and incomprehensible rules should be a natural thing for her.

LOL
I used to do that,….
Then I quit,… I lost the patience required.
Are they becoming, what’s the opposite of redundant?
Essential?
So they’d become the League of Super Essential Heroes, or LoSEHs.
