Who are you and what did you do with our clueless LP?
Eh, he’s just suffering eye-laser-firing-withdrawal and uncontrolled brain recovery. If he doesn’t fire them things often enough, he’s getting dangerously close to becoming smart.
LP looks clueless in most part of the time, but he is really cool and smart if is related with crimes and good sense (in comparative to others) sometimes
Don’t you know, there is no universe in the multiverse where LP isn’t an amazing superhero.
I mean he does want to call the police to tell them about a report they already have on file without providing any actual new information.
Maybe the brains evening out between LP and Alex is part of the case.
Communicating by radio cancels out blindness.
Before, everybody just said: “Look ther, that thing! Aim at it and fire!°”. Now they are forced to use full sentences and to really describe the scene. Actually considering the one you talk to while talking does make a big difference.
In every other reality, he’s the world’s best crime fighter. It stands to reason that he’d actually be pretty good at it here, once the LoSRHs start taking it seriously.
If he’s been reported missing then shouldn’t that mean by definition the police should already know about it and unless they haven’t gotten around to it, be at least aware of that possibility if they have more than 2 braincells?
Or did this woman report her husband as missing to some other agency that is unaffiliated with the government?
The police know that most people who go “missing” have just run away from home. (Especially married men.) Now if the movie producer turns up dead, the trophy wife will be the main suspect.
Mistake in the last cloud of LaserPony.
“Should” not “sould”
I have never understood how LP is as hot as he is (no, really, he is, and it’s kind of weird) but he’s even better when he’s being the smart one.
I’d argue it’s the “eyes”? the black lenses kinda make him adorable. Also a semi-normal face (vs Asstronomous with the “chin-so-cleft-it-looks-like-testicles” and other hilariously exaggerated faces.)
Mayor Kurgh is really cute with the glasses tho. Nerdy AND world-conquering? I’m in!
It’s the handles. Welcome to your kinky side…
Also I guess the vest enhances his otherwise weakling body.
I’m into Distractarella anyhow… sorta was the hook that got me hooked and now she’s nowhere to be found. Uh, OK, I’ll report Distractarella as missing person, maybe she’ll show up as the history unfolds.
His last word were: “This is just like my last 5 films. Death… by CLIQUE!!!!!”
Crushed by a group of people who share a common interest? How cliché…
Apparently when they went universe hopping,.. Keith came back with the wrong Laser Pony.
Agism is the last pure prejudice. It’s so engrained in our culture that we don’t even view it as a prjudice. How would the second panel be viewed if it said that a white made was married to his considerably darker wife, or if it said that a Christian man was married to his Jewish wife? Both are consenting adults. The automatic assumption that the only way people of different ages is because of nefarious intent on one side or the other is just prejudice.
It’s not just age here, but an implied difference in wealth, and an actual disappearance. Swap age out while keeping the other 2/3 of that trio and you can have similar suspicions raised, like a Christian man’s wealthy Jewish wife going missing.
Ageism is still a thing of course, and there’s also a bit of bias towards the circumstances for it since increasing wealth tends to pair with increasing age for successful people.
It’s a very reasonable “prejudice”, and when it is very reasonable, then it it is not “prejudice” (pre-judgement) anymore but a proper judgement or assessment of the situation.
Major age difference associated to wealth or power on the older side is almost invariably a transaction, not love.
The only prejudice here is assuming murder. An 87 years old man outside of his home without some sort of aid and you expect him to return alive? He’s a decade years past life expectancy: chances are that he dies or loses his mind or whatever other normal things happening when elderly people go around without assistance.
That’s not how death works. It’s not even how probability works.
It is. The rare exception does not make the rule. I know my basic maths and my life expectacy.
Basic maths goes like this:
If you close your eyes and cross the street, let there be a 1 % chance of getting run over by a truck. Your average time of death will be 100 days with a nice gaussian bell assuming you’d actually do that each day.
After you did this for 99 days, your average time of death will still be 100 days – but always counting from the current time of day.
You will not die because you reached an age of 100 days. You will die for a reason, and a lot of reasons don’t accumulate.
Assuming something you personally disagree with or find disagreeable as being a sign of -ism, bigotry or prejudice is in itself the biggest sign of being bigoted and pre-judging others.
Or in the words of Siegmund Fraud: sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Their is a difference between race / religious relationships and age “inappropriate” relationships. In GENERAL, there are significant differences between people that normally would be in different stages of life. A middle-aged man or woman in a relationship with a college aged person would normally struggle to find anything to connect with. Either it is purely physical (for the older partner) and security or monetary (for the younger partner). There are exceptions, of course, but if they are growing (mentally) in the typical way, there is a reason to look at the relationship twice if something possibly nefarious happens.
