   Ah the multid therom. The least important explaination that explains this.

   It states that it is a difference in misinterpretation. While there is a different pantheon of “Gods” they fall more into a different catagory (Almost to the point of angels you could say) and on the “God plane” they are countied more towards demi-gods when compared to the Christian god.

   (Example in the 1700s the “world” according to most people didn’t include America (Both North and South) but they were still there. It doesn’t mean that America didn’t exist, but just simply that they didn’t know about it yet.)

    Frigg is goddess of wisdom but doesn’t tell anyone anything Odin Acts as secondary god of wisdom and paid for the power to do so with his eye and he actually tells people what he knows.

    To be fair, Jehova even admits he’s not the only god when he tells his people to worship no other god before him, ’cause he’s a jealous god. I certainly don’t know about him being greater than any other pantheon, but then it’s pretty much all speculation and opinion with no proof to back it up, almost by definition.

    @Ultrageek, actually, he says the other gods are powerless to the point where they cannot even as much as move, talk or eat. It seems more that while He refers to them as ‘gods’ acknowledging that they are worshiped by men as such, they are in fact mere objects only worshiped by people as gods but not actual gods. Thus He formulates a complicated truth (‘complicated’ to the people of that time) that He is the only God in a more simpler idea that He is the most powerful among gods and the only one that should be worshiped.

    @Moriarty, Jehovah could also have beeen $h!t talking other gods, much as rappers do with each other. He could have also been Jay-Z gone back in time.

    AP Storm has a point, on the top of my head at least Odin, Tor and Tyr were war gods. A special point about Odin, although he was a war god, his attention might not be a good thing since it is in his interest to get good warriors (which might be on your side) to Valhalla (die in battle).

    Internet, I am disappoint.

    I mean sure, conflicting pantheons in a superhero setting… good fun premise.

    But wouldn’t the literal gods of wisdom at least attempt to talk it out? Wouldn’t they have divine insight into the fact that whoever can beat up the other isn’t therefore the most suitable to the position.

    SORRY I LIKE MY WISDOM WISE GUYS. *injects sense into your humour… the humour dissolves*

    Just to point out, there WAS a war in DC comics between Olympians and Roman pantheons. It was… weird.
    Also, both Thor and Zeus commands lighting, but they always got along fine in Marvel (maybe because their titles overlap only a bit making it more of a common interest).

    a bit late to reply (:p), but Odin is also God of Death, besides wisdom and war (together with Tyr, and Thor).
